When we last left the prophet Habakkuk in chapter 1 he was in the valley of despair, wrestling with doubt and questions. The end of the book, however, reveals a prophet standing in hope on the mountain peaks say “yet will I rejoice in my God”. Clearly something miraculous has taken place; something has changed to lead Habakkuk from the valley to the mountain- what was it? What changed? Did God change the situation?
