A Knitting Season
Last year the elders at Reidsville Alliance
felt that God was giving us new vision; that He was calling us to practice and to grow in the ministry of encouragement.  Today we launch into our 4th
Season of Encouragement- A Knitting Season.  We’ll examine today what Paul meant in Colossians 2 when he said he desired to see the church encouraged as our hearts were knit together in love.  What does that mean? How do we accomplish it? What steps do we need to take.  Listen here to find out!

    The Sowing Season
    sowing-season
While there are many ways people use the Bible today not all of them are appropriate ways or even helpful.  In the parable of the Sower which Jesus tells in Luke 8 He likens the Word of God to a seed and we are called to be sowers of that seed in the hearts of men.  As part of our vision to grow in the ministry of encouragement we want to declare today the beginning of the Sowing Season- sowing seeds of God’s word in the hearts of men to encourage them.  List here to find out more.

    A Building Season Part 2

    Building Seasson part 2

Today we continue to explore our newest growing season- the Building Season.  In this season we are exploring the command in Ephesians 4:29 to speak the kinds of words that build one another up, not the kind of corrupting language that tears down and undermines the foundations of peoples lives.  In keeping with the construction theme today we will look at 2 categories of words that we should be speaking to one another in order to build up the body and encourage one another in love.  We'll look first at Foundational Words and then we look at Structural, or Functional Words.

    A Building Season, Part 1

    Building Season part 1

This message launches a new encouraging season for us- a season of using our words to building one another up in love.  In other words, it's a Building Season.  This first message will explore why we need t engage in the building process, what we need to stop doing first, and what kinds of language we need to hold back in order to be prepared for building up.  The key verse for this season in found in Ephesians 4:29 "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouth, but only what is useful for building up.".
